Book Review: Get Out of That Pit

Get Out of That Pit by Beth Moore, is the newest self-care, personal growth text written by the Christian author. This book challenges its reader with the following:
*Life In the Pit
*Getting Out of Your Pit
*Waiting on God fornYour Deliverance
*Our Pit less Future

We don't have to be stuck where life places is, or where we put ourselves.
There is also a study guide, endnotes and prayers.

Great read!
Girl Talk Guy Talk with Devotions by Jesse Florea and Karen Whiting and published by Tyndale is a good staring guide for communication dialogue for tweens and teens.

The book is written in a Q & A format with alternating discussions about the same topic relating to a male and female perspective. Some topics are: Laughing, Reputation, Regrets, Decisions, Materialism, Motivation to name a few...

From the Editor:

One of the most awkward things about growing up is learning to communicate with the opposite sex. What is she thinking? Why did he do that? Teen guys and girls know they often don’t understand the opposite sex or know how to talk to one another.

Communication is a key tool in life. We interact with words, gestures, and movements. The devotions in Girl Talk Guy Talk give insights that focus on different aspects of teen life to help both guys and girls better understand and communicate with the opposite sex. Various styles of devotions, including stories, checklists, quizzes, fact-based news, text messages, and skill-building tips will encourage and equip young girls and guys to understand how the opposite sex is wired and how to best relate with them.

Book Review: Goliath Must Fall

Goliath Must Fall, by Louie Giglio & Published by Thomas Nelson

Summary
This book is a must read! The author has crafted this book as a realistic retelling/account of the David and Goliath story in the Old Testament. The author contends that fear, rejection, anger and addition are some of the “Giants” many people face at some point in their lives; he gives the reader some things to think about and consider.
Own the issue, declare there is a “giant” that needs to be taken down.
Look toward God for the ultimate success over the giants in one’s life.

My Opinion
This book was inspiring and challenged me to look at many things that have a stronghold over my life and identify them as “giants”.  I would recommend this to anyone looking to grow in Christian faith.
